Building a Finance Back-Office That Freed Senior Accountants for Advisory Work
Client Snapshot
Client Snapshot
The Challenge
The firm’s growth had stalled because senior accountants were spending too much billable time on data entry, reconciliations, payroll runs, and other production tasks. Partners wanted to shift toward higher-margin advisory work but could not free their senior team without reliable back-office support.
- Senior accountants were billing only 50–60% of their capacity at advisory rates due to administrative workload.
- Three junior bookkeeper roles in the UK had remained unfilled for more than seven months.
- Local junior bookkeeping costs were too high for the firm’s target client margins.
- Partners were turning down advisory opportunities because production work was consuming too much capacity.
